Coaching

Junior coaching groups take place throughout the year. Adult coaching groups will begin again in April. Individual lessons and lessons in pairs are also available.

The coaching program is run by Nick Adley who is an LTA Licensed coach. Nick holds qualifications from the Lawn Tennis Association who are the governing body for tennis in the UK and the RPT who are a globally renowned coach education organisation.

* Players are welcome to join a group part way through the term subject to checking that there is enough space in the group. Payment will be on a pro rata basis.

* Players are welcome to try a session before deciding whether to join the group for the whole term. The cost of this trial session will be £5 and this will be deducted from the cost of the group if the player joins for the term. Please let the coach know in advance if you wish to try out a session.

* Red & Orange sessions will take place in the University sports centre from the 9^th of January to the 21^stof February and outdoors on the hard courts from the 27^th of February to the end of term. The red session on Sunday 31^st of January will be outdoors. All other groups will have all of their sessions on the outdoor hard courts.

* The club are very keen for junior players in our coaching program to join the Lawn Tennis Association British Tennis Membership scheme. Players who are British tennis members will receive a £5 discount on the cost of group coaching courses. More details of how to join can be found online at www.lta.org.uk/britishtennismembership .
