Club Sessions & Extra Play On The Grass Courts
Club sessions involve playing friendly matches with other club members. Each match usually lasts for one set and then players mix in and play with different people.

During the grass court season we hold club sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm and Saturdays from 11am to 1pm. Team practice is on Thursdays from 6.30pm.

During the rest of the year we hold club sessions on the floodlit hard tennis courts on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm and Saturdays from 11am to 1pm.

Reading Tennis Club members can play on the grass courts outside of club sessions when the courts are dry and are not being maintained or used for other activities.
Club members can take part in matches against other tennis clubs in Berkshire. We enter the summer league, winter league and Aegon team tennis competitions.

The Chairman's singles tournament is a knockout competition exclusively for club members. It runs from June to September and is organised by Mark Graham our club chairman.

We also organise many other singles & doubles tournaments for players of all ages. These include mini tennis red, orange and green, junior and adult tournaments.
Social events
We organise social events. Recent events have included a summer barbecue, ten pin bowling, wine tasting and several visits to local restaurants. Members aged 9 and over can also take part in the Wimbledon ticket ballot which takes place in April or May.
